Anna (Jefferies) & Jason Jensen

This is old news, but I just thought I should share some pictures from Anna's wedding back in June. Anna and Jason make the perfect couple and Anna was a gorgeous bride. Everyone was able to be at the wedding except Joey.

Reta & Ron

October has come and gone, again.
October was filled with harvest. Ron was able to sneak in a week down here. This year the cobbage is way late. The latest I can ever remember it. Thank goodness he didn't have much to do this year.
While he was here, I went up to stay a couple of days with Emily in Logan. Trav and Jeff had business in Phoenix. It was fun just to have some girl time with her. We had a tea party, went out dinner, test drove some SUV's, watched some movies. It was just fun.
I went up on a Wed. Grandpa & Janna came up on Fri. night. It was fun to be there. Grandpa was able to hand some pics up for Emily. It was good.

Kristie was in charge of the school carnival. Talk about doing awesome, she did it!!!! They raised over $6,000. This was a first time attempt and she definitely deserves kudos.
For Halloween, Janna and I decided to do double coated caramel apples. They turned out pretty good. Jeff and Kristie thought they were as good as the Rocky Mountain ones they love.
Oh, yeah, I got a church calling. Unusual one for me, I think. I am an activity day leader for the girls. So, Lila, I will be calling you for ideas. You are the pro at that calling.
Love you all, Retz

Ron & Reta

The Nyssa, Oregon Stake sustained a new Stake President. Alan Peterson is the new president. Ron Jacobs from Vale, and Allen Timmons from Parma are his counselors. They should all do a very good job.

Released Stake President: Dell Jemmett, Parma, Robert Peterson, Owyhee, and Richard Beck, Nyssa.

We followed the past tradition of having Owen and Sharon over after stake conference. Didn't put on the crock pot on high enough heat, yet we survived just fine. It was just very simple day of relaxing and chatting one with another.

The month was filled with going to Homemaking night w/Janna and making I Love You decoupage blocks, chocolate fondant (which reminded me of mom), making valentine boxes and of course, frosting sugar cookies. It was a fun night out and we just enjoyed ourselves.

It is nice to have longer days and to see green once again.

Ron & Reta

Janna went back to work the 2nd week in Jan. She was only going to go MWF. However, due to some
bank changes, it was necessary for her to return back work almost full time.
That meant that Ron & I get to babysit more. The baby has to be the easiest baby to take care of. I don’t think any baby could be any easier that him to babysit. He is also way cute. He is now starting to smile and coo.
Ron & I were able to get to the temple for one session that was nice. They will be closing it the last two weeks of February for maintenance. Maybe we can get there sometime this week before it closes.
January is one of snuggling in for the winter and curling up to the fireplace—even if it is electric! 
Next week is our stake conference. We will be getting a new stake president. Our current stake president is made up of Dell Jemmett (Parma) Robert Peterson and Richard Beck. They have done a very good job. So, it will be interesting to see who is chosen to fill their shoes.
